Adam is a 19-year old student living in England. He studied Maths, ICT, and Fine Art A-Levels and is currently at Derby University studying Computer Games Modelling and Animation. Basically, he draws, makes things in 3D, designs games, and studies the industry itself. It’s an awesome course that he wouldn’t change for anything.
When not working, Adam obviously enjoys playing computer games, and creative things like drawing, painting and occasionally writing stories. He also listens to music, mainly of the rock, punk, alternative and ska genres, enough of the time that he is constantly singing or humming to whatever song is currently stuck in his head. Other things Adam likes include reading, socialising, manga, anime, horror movies, unicorns, art books and trifle.
Recently, Adam has discovered that he does not enjoy writing in the third person very much at all.

So you are interested in games design eh? Prepare yourself for a bumpy ride! Very competitive, you will need a 1st class honours degree but more importantly, have an eye for something unique and be able to come up with something different.
How do I know?
I did a degree in Electronic Media (Video Computer Graphics) and got a 2:1. Applied to the likes of Rare, Codemasters etc… but got nowhere. I know teach ICT to little kiddies(well 11-16 year olds!). Anyway, good luck and remember try to come up with something different which will grab their attention!
